Thai Travel Insurance rules and policies

KNOW THE LAW

The Immigration Law has now changed for entry into the Kingdom of Thailand. As from the 1st of July 2022 the Thai Pass has been dropped along with quarantine and mandatory travel insurance. However, we do recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance for any vacation/holiday or trip you may take.

VACCINATED TRAVELLERS ENTERING THAILAND

The PCR test prior to departure is no longer required by Thai law, but we do recommend you check with your independent airline before departure as this may still be their company travel policy.

The ‘Test and Go’ on arrival has now been dropped and you are no longer required to quarantine.

As from 1st October you are not required to show your vaccination certificate, however, it is always a good idea that you carry a digital copy.

UNVACCINATED TRAVELLERS ENTERING THAILAND

Unvaccinated travellers will not be required to show a negative result of a RT-PCR test, taken 72 hours prior to your departure.

1. TOURIST ONLY VISA / VISA ON ARRIVAL

We are proud to partner with one of Americas/Thai top insurance companies, Chubb Insurance. Chubb offers a comprehensive policy offering 10 Million THB of cover ($300,000 USD). Chubb travel policy will also cover you for personal injury for traveling on a motorbike, rider or passenger.

This policy can be used for international travel as well as within Thailand and is ideal for the tourist who wishes to destination hop. We know that many of our customers use Thailand as their main base and travel to neighboring countries. Many of our customers choose to purchase this policy for the whole 12 months but it is flexible enough to take out as little as 1 month. Chubb policies start from 1 year to 65 years.

RE-BOOKING / EXTENDING

Re-booking or extending your current policy is at the discretion of the insurance company, you will require a minimum of 1 week left on your old policy for Chubb and Tune can be renewed with or without the current policy in date. To re-book, email your requirements to info@one2go.insure , stating you name and policy number and please do this before making any new payment.

DOCUMENTATION

All our policies and documents have been approved by the Thai Government. Once payment has been received, our fully automated system will email you directly within 24 hours but usually within the hour.

CHANGING DATES

We are able to change the date of your paid policy. For example, if your visa application dates or flights have been changed. We require 48-hour notice to make the necessary changes. Changing dates is free of charge and must be before your policy start date. Note: Tune or Chubb insurance company may ask for proof of cancellation.
